I’m Pa Yang, the District Conservationist in Yuba City, CA. I started with NRCS as a Soil Conservationist Trainee through the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) in 2009 and converted to a full-time Soil Conservationist in 2011. NRCS had taken me to other states for conservation trainings and while at these trainings, I learned about the different environments and natural resources in different regions of the U.S.; comparing them what I am accustom to in California. I have been to Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa, Kentucky and have met many NRCS employees with great hospitality and warm welcomes. I am very pleased to be part of the NRCS and looking forward to learning more about what we do across the nation in our great agency.
